Alison Johnson is a Director in Nash’s Nonprofit Tax Practice, who has devoted her entire career to the field of tax services for nonprofit and tax-exempt organizations. Alison’s main focus is on tax compliance and consulting for these organizations. Alison has more than fourteen years of public accounting experience and specializes in unrelated business income tax analysis, application and management of exempt status, alternative investment analysis, and other nonprofit technical issues. She has worked with a wide range of clients of all sizes, including organizations in the fields of human and social services, affordable housing, higher education, and healthcare, amongst others.
Alison is passionate about her work at the firm, and prides herself on being attentive and responsive to her clients, as well as anticipating their needs before they are communicated to her. Developing relationships that help further the client’s mission as well as add value to the client’s experience is one of her top priorities. She is also a frequent volunteer at organizations that serve those that suffer from mental health and addiction afflictions and works hands on with these individuals.
